A fresh winter day in a town of Central Europe. You cross a door sill - and appear in a primeval sea which covered Vorarlberg in the Cretaceous Period. Cross the next sill and you are in a summery butterfly meadow. Cross the next sill…
Museum attendance becomes an adventure. Being astonished and experiencing move into the foreground.
Virtual journeys to other planets become possible, giant models of insects and live-projections of events within the habitats of microbes offer completely new insights.
3D time travel to primeval sea creatures suddenly moves the visitor 110 millions years back, a butterfly meadow biotope allows the observation of rare butterflies at all seasons, an underwater cinema offers a “Tête à Tête” with fish from domestic waters.
There are living animals not only to be looked at but also to be stroked and studied. Each door to a new Inatura area leads to another dimension or time.
Open daily 10.00 - 18.00!
Inatura is easily reached via the A14 (Rhine Valley motorway):
Leave the motorway at the South Dornbirn Exit towards the city centre. Turn left at the hospital/Crown Hotel. Immediately after the bridge over the Dornbirner Ache turn again to the left. The approach road to Inatura is sign-posted. There are several parking lots and multi-storey car parks in the city centre at your disposal.
