From the Palüdbahn, the narrow mountain path leads directly at the Palüdbach and past Glingabrunnen. Glingabrunnen is a natural monument at the foot of the Mottakopfes and unites a whole set of water sources; those underground are fed with water from the Brand glacier. The path then joins a path which leads into the picturesque Zalimtal.
At half way is the very idyllic Obere Brüggele Alpe, a still very original possibility. Subsequently, the path leads in zigzags to the Oberzalim Hut.
The path is a partially rocky and is for experienced sure-footed walkers. Please check with the tourist office about conditions! From the Mannheimer Hut, you reach the Scesaplana (2,965m) via the Brandner glacier. The glacier is sign-posted and is usually accessible. Descent to the Totalp Hut on accessible path (Attention, in spring and autumn there are often still snowfields!). From the Totalp Hut, descent to the Lünersee and via the Bösen Tritt to the Schattenlagant Hut. From here on a good footpath back to Brand, or bus connection from the Talstation of the Lünerseebahn to Brand.
Climb to the Niggenkopfbahn - Gulmasteig - Amatschonjoch, time 2 hours - Amatschonjoch - Alpe Setsch - Nenzinger Himmel, time: 2 –2.5 hours. From here, a minibus connection to Nenzing

After the climb to the Niggenkopfbahn, the path leads across the long back of the Gulma via the Palüdgebiet to the Amatschonjoch (2028 m).
With a wonderful panorama in good weather! A steep and narrowly descending path leads to the Alpe Setsch (caution on wet roads and there are some snowfields in spring), further along the Alpweg into the charming summer village of the Nenzinger Himmel - from here by minibus to Nenzing.
Brand - Sarotlahütte, time: 2 hours - Zimbajoch - Heinrich Hueter Hut - time:
4 - 5 hours, Saulajochsteig - Lünersee – Douglas Hut, time: 2 hours - Böser Tritt, Schattenlagant Hut - Brand, 2.5 hours.

Directly from Brand centre, the broad path leads in the direction of Bludenz and then bends right as the path climbs in steep turns in the Sarotlatal, up to the Sarotla Hut.
From there, the path leads across a rocky area and Schutthalden to the Zimbajoch (2,387 m). Then a very steep path zigzags across a rocky area and Geröllhaden (partially suspended) down to the Heinrich Hueter Hut. From the hut, up to the Saulajoch, via the Saulajochsteig downhill and cross several streams to the Lünersee dam and over it to the Douglas Hut. Further on via the Bösen Tritt to the Schattenlagant Hut and to Brand. Post office bus connection to Brand from the Talstation of the Lünerseebahn.
Brand - Douglas Hut, time: 2.5 - 3 hours - Douglas Hut - Verajöchle - Schweizer Tor - Öfapass – Lindauer Hut, time: 3.5 - 4 hours - Latschau, time: 1.5 hours.

From Brand a comfortable path leads to the Lünerseebahn. From there, a steep rise over the Bösen Tritt (sure-footed and clear-headed) to the Douglas Hut - from the Douglas Hut to the Lünerseealpe and over the Verajöchle - Schweizer Tor up to the Öfapass - there the path leads downhill to the Lindauer Hut - and from the Lindauer Hut out of the valley on a good path via Latschau - from there by post office bus to Schruns - railway connection by the Montafonerbahn to Bludenz - Post office bus connection to Brand.
