Mountains have the greatest recreation value, say the experts. Because: we move too little. Instead of lying lazily on the beach, people feel simply very good after an experience-enhancing excursion through sweet-smelling forests, over flowering meadows and alongside crystal clear torrents.

A worthwhile goal for the hiker and walking families is the romantic mountain village of Brand in Vorarlberg. With a view of the Rätikongebirge, the Scesaplana, the Zimba, the Alps.

Right in the middle lies our Lagant Hotel, an ideal starting point for trips and sporting activities.   Alone on maintained panoramic paths or in a team guided by professional mountain leaders, and climbing tours for active families or those interested in sports, all can enjoy the peace and beauty of the Alps.

From the short family excursion to the challenging climb

Guided excursions and hiking programme, Nordic walking, theme excursions for the whole family, Aualbon - water excursions, panoramic excursions in the high alpine region, healthy forest walks, cosy Alpine dairy inspection or a rest in a mountain hut.

 Enjoy the impressive mountain world of the Brandnertal under the expert guidance of a qualified hiking leader.

Participation in the daily hiking excursions (MO-FR) is free for you as a guest of the Lagant Hotel!

In easy stages, you can explore the magical “Brandnertal Scesaplana Lünersee” triangle of some 400km of sign-posted walking paths.

At the valley end about 10km from Brand at 2000m altitude, is the “Pearl of the Rätikons”: the Lünersee

There are two ways to reach this high mountain lake:
Either one walks along the legendary “Bösen Tritt“, a traditional walking route up to the Lünersee or one can be carried up in a gondola of the Lünerseebahn.

Enjoy a walk alongside the crystal-clear lake and then refresh yourself on the sun terrace of the Douglas Hut, just by the mountain station, with a fascinating view over the Lünersee and the surrounding mountain scenery.
