fam Hotels is an initiative to make sure everybody relaxes: children and parents

The initiative fam – more family, more holiday was started in autumn 2003 by Andrea Schwärzler, mother of three kids herself, wife and successful hotel manager. The idea behind fam is simple and comprehensible: every family member has a right to relax, have fun and  enjoy a variety of activities on holiday. To ensure this a holiday environment is needed which is in balance with the individual family members but also includes the family as a whole.

Precisely this combination is offered by the fam Hotels. Moments of stress for parents are minimised by for instance providing parented lunch and evening meals in the children’s restaurant which is very popular with the kids. Or the sleep-in service for mum and dad – you sleep peacefully while we look after the kids from 7am.

But also collective events for the entire family are on the programme. A good time for the whole family for instance during the collective torch or lantern walk, the Lagant mystery rally or dancing and fun with live music.

Holidays with kids – usually hotels provide some standard animation programme for children. Drawing, doing handicrafts, games – full stop. We take a different route in our imagination workshop. Happenings in and including nature, rampaging, exciting adventures with new mates but also creativity and imagination are at the centre of our child care.
